Clearly our PSA buddies are a busy bunch on Sundays. As I suspected earlier, Slaughterhouse Sue was off gathering herself for the next rallying of the troops. Ole Sue found an article online about a wackadoodle that took things too far in showing her displeasure about animal testing and, astonishingly, Suey made it all about her. Don’t get me wrong, I think death threats and violence are wrong. You can make your voice heard without breaking the law and will probably be taken a lot more seriously in the long run. At any rate, the issue she chose to play on her supporter’s sympathies has little to do with her. Here is the link she provided:http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2012206150325 . Below is Suey’s statement with my own comments in bold. Get out your barf bags….
As a target of the same kind of hateful vilification and threats as the professor this happened to, I am very glad to see this terrorist being prosecuted, as she darn sure should be.
Way to make something completely unrelated all about you, Suey. This man is a physiologist in charge of cardiovascular research at Wayne State. You, on the other hand, are a backwoods hick that want to torture and slaughter animals so you can get rich and have little to no post secondary education.
Neither this man’s family, nor mine, should have to live under the pall of unbalanced idiots like this. I have a bulging “FBI” file that includes such lovely things as “you and all of your twisted, evil children nee…d to be hung up by one leg and have your throats slit for what you want to do to horses.”
I will bypass the obvious insult with the `bulging’ thing and tell you that your hands are not exactly clean nor are those of your followers. Just remember, that people are always watching. As fast as you can hit a delete button on the net, somebody else can screen shot you inviting people to beat down your detractors . Threats aren’t cool no matter what side they come from, but exposure is fair game.
All of this because I advocate for the humane treatment of all animals, including horses, and the sure knowledge that horses that are valuable are treated well, even when they are slaughtered in a modern facility with equipment designed for the purpose, by professionals who are trained to do it correctly…and that is a far, far better fate than starving to death, being turned out to fend for themselves, or even being shot in the head and left to rot in a ditch because they aren’t even worth hauling to a sale–a total waste and a total disrespect of the life of the animal.
So, according to you, only horses that you see as `valuable’ deserve to be treated well? Since when are you qualified to be an authority about anything relating to horses? There is NOTHING humane about what you are proposing to do to horses. Where exactly does one go to slaughter college in order to become a professional btw? YOU are a total waste of oxygen in my opinion. Please stop trying to speak for an industry that you are not a part of.
Problem is, I don’t intimidate. I refuse to allow bullies like this any kind of response, except a visit from law enforcement when they cross the line.
And if that doesn’t work, you just assault somebody at a public gathering, right?
The animal rights movement is not about animal welfare, it is nothing but a fund raising scheme which unfortunately plays on the emotions of people who love animals…and some of them are not mentally balanced. That is scary. But it will not stop any of us from standing up and telling the truth, and doing what we know is the right thing to do for both horses, and for people.
I suggest you look up the definition of `welfare’ and realize that what you are advocating is about as far from that as possible. Emotions do come into play when we are talking to living, innocent creatures. I would suggest to you that you have far more unbalanced individuals in your camp as evidenced by this blog’s subject matter alone.
Thankfully, there are far more good, honest, upright citizens who understand the need for compassion and common sense in terms of dealing with these issues, and what the proper relationship is between the animals we own and use, and human beings. Thank you each and every one for the respect you show so often to those of us who are working so hard, every day, to make a difference, and make things better.
The only thing you are working hard to do is line your pockets with blood money and reverse the work and efforts of those that advocate for animals.
