I have to apologize for the lack of updates recently. It’s always difficult to figure out how to handle these things. Do you just put it all out and drive the Manson Family deeper underground or do you sit on things? Normally, I choose sit back a bit and hand them all plenty of rope. I’ve always said that nobody ever gets convicted for something they might do or even thinks about doing and I truly believe that. Is that always the right thing to do? I just don’t know. So, after much consideration and after talking to a few of the `team’, I figured I’d do this very brief update. My reason for doing so is hopefully to get the word out so the eyes can stay out. It’s one thing when Manson is just playing her regular victim card, but when she moves to openly exploit suffering animals on any level again it’s time to play whack a mole. So, with that being said, let’s get down to it…
So here we go…Manson is dipping her gnarly toe back in the waters of grifting on the backs of broken horses. Wanna take bets on who the suppliers are? Even though she carefully cropped the pic in an attempt to remove all evidence of where the horse is, it is clear. All that aside, let’s look at the bill of goods she is attempting to sell to her village idiots. She can claim she is no longer affiliated with a 501c3, but I’m reasonably sure the AG will see things differently. She doesn’t get to just walk away and she especially doesn’t get to when she’s carting around assets of that 501c3. Yes, they are in a delinquency status due to not filing their paperwork for the last few years, but the HiCaliber non-profit is not dissolved and she is certainly not absolved of any responsibility no matter what she says.

Let’s talk about these horses she is wanting to kill. First off, there ARE other options for them. There has always been other options for them. It wasn’t all that long ago when Manson was lamenting the lack of resources for another broken horse she had drug back to the ranch to execute for dollars that she was told, right on her own page, that The Equine Welfare Society has a fund to cover just this sort of thing. This was back in July and, of course, she ignored this information as it doesn’t fit in with her grifting and blood lust. This isn’t even counting other rescues and animal shelters. There isn’t much burrito money in referring these animals on to appropriate agencies and letting real horse people handle things though.
Like the good little village idiots they always have been, they pick up what Manson laid down as far as the subtle grift and start offering money. They certainly don’t make it rain like the village of old, but it’s a much more shallow well they’re dipping from these days. I’m not entirely sure why Wrinkles chimes in with $20 considering how far she’s already parked up Manson’s ass and the fact that any funds raised will also benefit her personally, but maybe she was attempting the `monkey see, monkey do’ strategy of fundraising. I had to giggle at Manson blaming ICE/The Wall as the reason the owners of these horses couldn’t raise their own funds. The actual reason is more that if Salvador and his ilk did their own fundraisers, Manson wouldn’t get her blood money or be able to get off on shooting another animal in the face. They also don’t give a shit about these animals once they have are of no use to them so making a few bucks off Manson and her merry band of idiots is just gravy. It really is that simple.
I don’t know why Manson was in FB jail because she rarely pokes her head out in the open other than to offer sexual favors to randoms in various groups, but that’s another story for another day. What is interesting about her comments here is that she claims she’s calling vets to cover her ass as far as how much money to ask for. She doesn’t actually state that a vet will ever see any of these horses, but with her patented read between the lines style of lying out her lie hole, she’s apparently called a few. No word if they were actual equine vets or not or if she even discussed the horses in question. She could have prank called them for all we know. The villagers have been trained not to ask too many questions so when Manson says she has called the vet, they follow her down the path of deception and spread the lies of omission.
As many of you are aware, there are a few things going on in Manson’s realm at the moment. The clock has run out on the Bonsall property so that situation is fluid. For somebody who claims to have no affiliation with HiCaliber she is certainly hanging onto their assets with both of her hammy fists and still threatens to enforce their contracts. We’ve always known she wouldn’t be able to stop killing animals any more than a vampire can stop drinking blood, but the way forward without her 501c3 is going to be difficult. I will state right here for all to see that if Manson is truly concerned about these horses and sincere in her desire to get them relief, then she can refer them on to entities that can help them. She can even have the owners contact me (as in email the blog and don’t bug JM) and I’ll network them. Let’s see her do the right thing for once in her malignant existence. The ball is in your court, Manson. You going to put the horses first for once in your life?
As for me, I have three different and unrelated things that are currently on my desk. To the people that have sent some of those `things’ to me, I’m still working on them and I apologize for not being quicker. After spending a couple of years so deeply entrenched in all things HiCaliber, it takes a bit more time to switch gears. I want to make sure I give these other issues the attention they deserve or at least the best I can do with them. Rest assured I haven’t gone anywhere nor are we in mothballs. For now though, make sure you hug your horses and other four footers and keep your eyes and ears open. We’re a long way from over. Have a great weekend!

What can be seen of the horse looks to be in good flesh. Looks to me like he’s taking a nap, not dwelling on his miseries. Might be the first time I can remember that I thought the horse may look better than she describes.
That’s just it. The horse pictured is in good flesh, feet have obviously been maintained but happens to have dropped pasterns. I’m not going to render a diagnosis based on a carefully cropped pic. It is a possibility the horse has DSLD but even if that’s the case, that doesn’t mean the horse is in need of immediate euthanasia. Horses can be managed and maintained with that condition for a long time. Remember the three horses she took in along with generous donations and she shot two of them within days without them ever seeing a real vet. She has no clue about what she’s looking at and even less clue what to do about these things apart from shooting them in the face. Then you have the flip side of that and how often have we all seen her or one of her gunsels flopping around on obviously lame horses. This is one of the main reasons she needs to GTFO and leave this sort of thing to real horse people and real rescues.
Again, we don’t even know if this particular horse even exists in present time. It wouldn’t surprise me even a little bit if this picture is ancient and this horse is either long dead or she never did go and get it. GTFO Manson.
I think it’s just a pic of a horse that M is using for her own personal monetary gain. I was JUST going to say about Johnny Cade and his “Cremation” in Jan 2018….no one ever saw his cremains though…. and that scam was $1600—then she created the whole scam of hoofprints (didn’t they have shoes on??)….
I’m confused a little bit about Johnny Cade and the consensus here that the cremation was not done and the hoofprints fake. While all the arguing was going on, I decided to contact the cremation service through Facebook messaging directly and simply ask about it. The woman who responded to my inquiry said that he had been cremated, that it was the first time HiCaliber had ordered the service, and that she herself had done the hoof prints and apologized that his hooves were so deteriorated, the prints were poor. She was very nice and seemed confused over the controversy. I did not ask the cost of the service. I sent a copy of my Messenger conversation to one of the Horror Story pages to try to settle the matter, but was ignored. It seemed to me everyone would rather argue and fuel drama than do the most basic thing – ask and get the truth. It was then that I decided following this mess was unhealthy as I couldn’t decide who was right and who was wrong, stopped checking for updates and deleted my conversation. I wish I had kept it so I could send it with this post, otherwise you would think I am making it up. I would think that the “moles” would know the truth and that the matter would have been cleared up at this point. I’m sure you could contact the place and they would be happy to clarify it for you even now. For all that has happened to these poor animals and the ranch facility and the hope that justice gets served, please be careful what you are calling fake when the truth is available to seek out. HiCaliber as an organization was poorly run. There was excessive waste, tack was mistreated, feed/ supplements poorly stored, pens filthy and falling down… You get the point.
It was certainly not nearly as productive or an all inclusive environment that was portrayed.
As a rescue who was supposed to be saving horses they also had problems following the UC Davis refeeding protocols. It’s time consuming in the beginning and takes a little dedication but it’s fairly simple to follow.
I don’t concern myself overly much with arguing and it’s not about the drama. Granted, I get fairly hot and probably can be accused of dramatics over the animals in her care being shot without proof from a licensed veterinarian that there was no hope for that particular animal. Isn’t rescue a case by case thing? Shouldn’t it involve time and empathy? Maybe I’m missing the point. What should a of rescue, who has had a budget of over a million dollars, be doing? As an individual I am allowed to ask hard questions of public group who runs off public donations “what’s going on and where is the money going” without censorship.

I’m surprised that place breached confidentiality like that. I didn’t call them because in the end it didn’t really matter either way. However, having cremated horses myself and other animals, not all cremations cost the same. My main issue with any of it was why did Johnny Cade get the honor while other horses were hacked up and had their body parts in the freezer? The only reason I can see is Johnny Cade was a money maker and, even in death, they continued to exploit his sad little life just like they are doing with Barry Boi now.

See, this is exactly why I never “joined” any of these Facebook pages or this blog – the nastiness. I even hesitated to post because I did not have the “proof” in hand and here you blast me as I expected. The name of the place was all over the Horror Story page at the time of the controversy. I do not recall it now, but you can probably scan through the comments on the posts from back then and find it. I looked for a facebook page of that name which showed the hoofprint packages which matched what HiCaliber had on their page. I messaged them and got the truth. HiCaliber may have pocketed extra money and maybe even made their own prints after, but he was cremated and there were hoofprints made by the cremation service, that at least is true. I knew if I posted on this blog, I would get this response and now I’m sorry I bothered.
This explains then, why I wouldn’t know the name – I have never gone on the horror story page. I rarely go on FB, so I apologize, mea culpa then.

Just makes me sick to my stomach thinking what poor JC went through. Kept hoping somebody would step in and get that horse away from them. Add another macabre picture after he passed. Sick. They are all sick. Money for cremation of Bari Boi? It is all a crock of crap.
It’s not for lack of trying. Many people tried to intervene with Johnny Cade but she was making too much money off him. Same with the OTTB20. People tried to stop her and warn her and she had to get greedy. I wonder if she realizes that had she stood down like she was asked, she wouldn’t likely be in the situation she is.

Anyhow, quite the opportune time for Barry Boi to have to die, huh? I mean… be murdered. Do the villagers really believe that any of that money is going towards his cremation? I cannot wait for the CVMA to step up and put an end to her shooting horses. I don’t know how they will handle her shooting ones that truly belong to her? But, I don’t believe that her doing so generally falls under the “acceptable practice during an emergency situation”? I was enraged when she posted about those 2 horses needing “help” a week or so ago and she said something to the effect of “of course I will handle the euthanasia”. Ugh… this needs to STOP!!!!
“Acceptable practice under emergency situations” is a phrase that seems to be overlooked by many. I’ve heard it’s legal to shoot your horse in California by a few people. Each time it I kinda go WTF mentally and have to say “yes, but there is certain criteria”. Which apparently goes right over their head.
Exactly NDTCA! Like, say you are in the back country packing on horseback and are miles away from civilization. The horse slips in a crevice and breaks its leg. That is an emergency situation where I feel it is 100% acceptable to dispatch of the horse by gunshot, there by alleviating any future suffering.

Again? Apparently, the recent horse begging didn’t bring in much because now it’s balls to the wall, use the child, tell a very long list of lies about this horse and ‘opt’ for the high end cremation package when you have no money? The horse was probably shot in the face by M and hauled off already. These donors are as crazy as M is a scammer. Arrest her already. Save the horses, the child and the idiots that continue to fall for this crap.
When you don’t have money, you can’t afford a high end cremation. The reasonable thing to do when you are in Manson’s financial situation is to take a piece of his tail and get a bracelet made for the kid. Manson is the one that said `dead is dead’ and that kid has witnessed countless executions. Not buying any of this.
But without the required recordkeeping of the 501c3, she is free to grift for whatever she wants with no accountability whatsoever. For the majority of the villagers it isn’t about the tax write off anyway, it’s about feeling like part of something and ‘saving horses’ SMDH
That is a fantastic memorial/tribute for the horse. A beautiful bracelet that can be cherished for years. I’m going to keep that in mind when my 21 year old “heart horse” passes. Praying that isn’t any time soon as he is still going strong, looks like a 12 year old, and hasn’t taken a lame step. Of course when that time comes, he will also be put down humanely with sedation and then IV euthanasia, followed by a proper burial on my ranch. 💕

How do i forward you lroof of breaking multuple federal laws? I have screen shots of horse plus breaking irs law. Including paying peopke under the table. And board members know and are kept quiet with money. And animal abuse.
